A true asset to any barn,
Robbie is well suited for an adult amateur or junior to shine in any show ring!
BREED: Irish Sport Horse
DOB: May 23, 2014
HEIGHT: 17.3hh
Robbie has three lovely, balanced gaits, including an awesomely comfortable canter, and a smooth, comfortable jump that makes him a pleasure to ride.
While in Ireland, Robbie accumulated 49 SJI points with an adult amateur up through 1.2m and competed in eventing as a four- and five-year-old up through E100 (USA Training level). He has a solid understanding of flatwork and lateral work, and demonstrates a great work ethic both in and out of the ring.
Robbie is brave and honest to the jumps, steady and forgiving of rider mistakes, and truly takes a joke—the kind of horse that gives his rider confidence in every phase. Since his arrival, he has shown at Princeton in the jumpers and evented at the Novice level, including a lease to a student who competed him at Beginner Novice and qualified for the Area II Championships.
A traditionally bred Irish Sport Horse gelding, Robbie is by Robin De La Maison (TB) out of Princess Wexford (ISH) and carries 71% blood. He is the same horse on and off property, requires no prep at shows, and is well-behaved for the vet and farrier. He stands to be clipped, loads, and ties without issue, and hacks out alone or with company.
Robbie is a true confidence builder who could easily go in a variety of directions—from the jumper ring to the eventing world. He is a pleasure to have in the barn and a rewarding partner to ride.
Some radiographic findings which can be discussed with interested parties; maintenance in the form of hock and stifle injections needed.
